First of all location is 6-7 hour drive from Delhi.
Good weekend unique trip, specially for stargazers due to its remote location, no light pollution, good for the family and kids. Food was finger licking good, I specially appreciated the Cook Mr. Aashif, Staff’s behaviour is good, they corporate with you, coordinator Ms. Deepti had explain each n every do n don’ts and nearby attractions very politely. Owner Mr. Neeraj has very deep knowledge of Stargazing and he is also very good gentleman.
About nearby attractions, people must go nearby temple Shakhambari mata mandir, and nearby Temple , if u love to drive some off road, then u can drive all around the temple around 5-10 KM radius ..
And there is one Toy train.. that go for around 7-8 KM, to show the Sambhar Lake.

We went for a day trip to Sambhar Lake on 12 March 2823. We chose Camp Sambhar for our starting point. We were very well guided by the owner Mr Neeraj for flamingo sighting and other attractions around. The Camp is located at the Best View of Lake and white landscape facing it. The candle light dinner on the terrace was mesmerizing. The tents are very thoughtfully laid out with all needs. There's a huge lawn and playing area alongwith a high rise watch tower for a better view of Lake and also for photography. Only 70 km from Jaipur, it has openness all around, fresh air to breathe & relax...what more can you ask ? Excellent place for star gazing and bird watching too. It was undoubtedly a very memorable Sunday outing with family. Keep it up Neeraj.

After a long period, We(I, my wife and my son) visited a beautiful place i.e Camp Sambhar. It is one of the best place I have visited in past. It is a gem situated in Sambhar. Our first encounter was with the Owner of Camp Sambhar i.e Mr. Neeraj who treated us like royality. He has awesome personality with positive attitude. We had great lunch and dinner and selection and quality of food was very much appreciated. My son enjoyed and played with Jill (dog) in such a beautiful lawn. All the time we felt that they are our family members. All other personnel were very cooperative and dedicated to their job. Lake front, bird watching, camping, beautiful restaurant, excellent service and very well appointed rooms are the key features.. thanks to the team of Camp Sambhar..

We have stayed at Camp Sambhar Resort in the first week of January 25. We were three families including elderly people and infants.
Starting from the check-in to the check-out everything was so nice.
The best part of the property is that it is managed by a young enthusiastic team. They all are so polite and always ready to listen and help.
Swiss tent rooms are super clean, well designed and cozy. Room service, restaurant service were fantastic.
The view from the each and every corner of the property is awesome.
My sincere thanks to the entire team of Camp Sambhar Resort, Dipti ji, Chef Devendra, Mukesh, Pawan and all members.
I would 100% recommend this place to the people who love to admire the nature and good hospitality.

Amazing Stay at Sambhar Resort!
I recently visited Sambhar Festival 2025 and stayed at this beautiful resort. The experience was fantastic! The Swiss tents were comfortable, well-maintained, and provided a unique, cozy experience amidst the serene surroundings.
The bonfire evenings were a highlight, creating a perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy under the starlit sky. The staff was incredibly hospitable and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The food was delicious, offering a taste of authentic local flavors.
The ambiance and overall vibe of the resort were just perfect for a getaway. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sambhar Lake. It’s truly a hidden gem! Looking forward to visiting again.

We four friends stayed at Camp Sambhar Resort for two nights. Our main goal was to have a friend's reunion and to capture a good snaps of Migratory birds of Sambhar Lake.
Mukesh, Rajesh, Devendra Ji, Pawan and rest of the staff members were so humble and supportive to us. The food, The services were top notch. The best part was the location of Resort and the view from the Swiss tents and Rooftop restaurant was just awesome.
Resort owner Mr. Neeraj showed us the best sites of the Sambhar lake and the birds. He is so keen into birdwatching and history of Sambhar lake.
Overall 10/10 and so worthy to stay at this place.
Must recommend to everyone who loves nature and peace with a great hospitality.

Visited this place with my wife and pet dog to see the Geminid Meteor shower. Place is right next to the lake and easily accessible. There is a watch tower to get panoramic views. Courteous staff set up our own tent and provided bedding to stay as we didn't want the Cottage Tent. The owner stays in the property with his dogs who are friendly and playful. He was great to talk to and resourceful. He also instructed staff to turn off all the lights at night to do the stargazing. We had a clear sky and good sightings of the shower. The restaurant serves tasty food. The common washroom/toilets were clean. They charge extra for pets which is understandable. Overall a great experience. We will visit again.

Sambhar lake
This is one of the handful tourist spots which are still pristine, relatively unexplored, which nothing but adds to the serenity of the place. Noted for bird-watching and star-gazing, this place offered all things we had hoped for - hospitality, ambience, peace. Even just staying in and watching at the night sky above the vast expanse of the salty lake ahead for hours was so satisfying and wholesome. Add to that the occasional sighting of rare endangered birds, we were more than happy. What struck me the most was the efforts that the team puts there just to maintain the local ecosystem. Looking forward to visiting that place again when you can actually watch disc of the Milky Way galaxy.

Excellent place for camping, located across the road from the salt lake. Clean and comfortable tents for staying the night coupled with properly constructed washrooms make it an excellent choice. The owners are a family and are extremely gracious as well as helpful - going out of their way to make you comfortable. Food is served on the rooftop cafe. A bonfire is held at night and the experience of sitting near the campfire, singing songs under the night sky is unforgettable. Which brings to the point that it is an excellent place for astrophotography and spotting constellations in the dark night sky. Would recommend staying here for at least a night on a visit to Sambhar lake.

We recently stayed at camp samber resort.it such a beautiful and peaceful place.We met the manager Miss Dipti.she is very humble in nature and she provide cooperative environment for us.
Tents are kept so clean and proper air ventilation maintain privacy also.Freshly homemade meal is so delicious in taste.In our package candle light dinner is included so the arrangement done by the staff is great is just love it.we are happy and great experience in camp sambhar resort.My daughter enjoyed the pool side very much.My stay is memorable.Thank to all staff and management member of camp sambhar resort for great experienced.

Visited this such a beautiful place with my family. You can get the best view of Sambhar lake from your rooms, machan and restaurant roof top. 1 km ahead is the place from where you can take a toy train ride around the lake. Though the purpose was to take a show round and have lunch and every thing turned out to be so fabulous. Tents are kept so clean, airy with cross ventilation and full of privacy. Overall maintenance of the property was superb. Now, talking of the veg meals we had ... just awesome. Freshly homemade meals with great service. Highly recommended. Thank you Neeraj and team for the great hospitality.

Even though the stay was short, the experience was everlasting.
We were truly clueless on where to stay while visiting Sambhar Lake for the first time.
Saw the place en route and its location and architecture caught our eye.
Looked around and checked out the premises and booked the rooms.
The Manager/owners were very welcoming and keep check of the Camp on a personal level.
The food was absolutely lovely with something as simple as a roti to something different like chilli paneer.
The three lovely German Shepherds were also a joy to have around :)
The view with the salt plains and even flamingos is definitely a big reason to stay here!!

I stayed at Camp Sambhar for a day with my family. It's an amazing place for a calm and peaceful family holiday.
The place gives a breathtakingly beautiful view of unending salt land and lake right in front. The sunset and full moon sighting looked mesmerizing from here.
The Swiss tents are spacious, comfortable and well equipped.
The food was delicious. It was well suited to my two toddlers too who are usually very picky for food.
I would like to make a special mention for the host Mr. Neeraj and Suman ma'am...smiling and humble people who make sure to make their guests comfortable.
I would definitely like to pay another visit here.

I recently stayed in Camp Sambhar Swiss tent with my friends and it was an amazing experience. The natural beauty of the area and the cosy tent atmosphere were really good. The tent was spacious and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, including a comfortable bed. The views were stunning and I enjoyed spending time on the outdoor deck and Tower at night. The staff were friendly and always available to help. I highly recommend this for a unique and memorable experience. Thank you for a wonderful stay, I hope to come back soon.
Advice for the traveller to Sambhar lake:
Unfortunately, due to rain, Sambhar Lake was muddy, so we were unable to reach the lake. To ensure a successful trip to Sambhar, it's best to check the weather conditions or consult a local source before making any plans. The full moon is the best time if you staying next to the lake overnight, and if its photography I would suggest a New moon time"

I highly recommend camp sambhar. Our stay here was so comfortable, hosts( Neeraj and suman) are amazing, staff is warm and helpful, food is delicious and pihu(their daughter) is super cute.
View from the camps is terrific, you can also visit shakhambari devi temple and sambhar lake, which is just 10 mins from the camp.
We stayed there just for a day, but we were told that there are many more attractions nearby, like heritage village walk, bird watching etc.
They are also coming up with swiss tents options very soon and we are also planning our trip to sambhar real soon, and we will be staying at Camp Sambhar again !!!😃

Two nights at Camp Sambhar was a great experience.
Very good tents, modern attached toilets, clean linen and comfortable mattress.
Neeraj and team took great care of us, they planned our day to perfection. He was a great local guide.
The food is the clear winner, simple still amazing. They organised a bonfire which was splendid 🥂
Neeraj is a riding enthusiast, an engineer by profession, he organises bike trips from Barmer to Leh, Sand2Snow.
We had a flat tyre and Neeraj enthusiastically changed it. Dipti, Mukesh, Pappu to name a few are the ones who made you feel wanted and special.

Let me list out my reasons for 5 star rating:
1. We checked in quite late in evening. Despite a glitch in my Make my Trip booking, the owner Mr Neeraj gladly welcomed us and helped us in hassle free check-in. An instant great first impression of our stay.
2. Personal involvement of Mr Neeraj and family in ensuring that you have a safe and comfortable stay, makes the stay a one to remember for long. Some great conversations too with him, as he runs an adventure company as well (Sand2snow). Also, had some great time playing football with Jill (dog) in the morning.
3. The resort is strategically located probably at one the best location in Sambhar. Some amazing views of Sunrise and the Sambhar Salt Toy Train from the resort.
4. Talk about food, we were served with delicious food in dinner and Breakfast. Just tasted so good and homely to me.

When i looked into places to stay in Sambhar lake, my expectations were low. But surprisingly this place exceeded all my expectations. Good food, great service and hygenic. All rooms were very well managed. Mr. Neeraj was a delight to talk to. He was friendly and professional, explained very well about the options and activities available. Its the first time that the host has engaged and explained very well the history of the place. We could easily spot the Flamingos using binoculars from his property rooftop. I am definitely planning a stay again here with my entire family.

Found a place to be frequently visited for tranquility. Just loved every bit of my stay in the beautiful and well constructed tents with an amazing view of the lake. The hosts made our experience more interesting by sharing so much about the history of the place and by giving the best of their hospitality. Even the food was very tasty and freshly cooked, the rooftop restaurant is the best spot to sit and have the food. If anyone wants to get away from the hustle bustle of life and be in peace between nature without any distractions for a day or two this is the best place to be at.

We booked Camp Sambhar for a overnight stay in mid March. The rooms were spacious and well ventilated. Quite nice. And clean. Before check-in, the owner highlighted a few dos and don'ts of the property. Smoking is not allowed near or in the tents.
There are two beautiful German Shepherd dogs on the property. They are quite well trained and are a delight to interact with.
The view from the corner rooms is awesome and luckily it had rained that day so the weather was pleasant. Along with two rooms, we were given permission to pitch two tents. The snacks, vegetarian dishes and breads, we ordered from the kitchen. Food was tasty and we tried Rajasthani fare.
The kids had a great time camping, playing with the dogs and playing with the Frisbee in the garden. They have board games, books, a keyboard and other things for entertainment. Premises are adorned with a variety of plants and flowering hedges.
Overall a great experience.
Will visit again.

I stayed at Camp Sambhar Resort for 10 days for a volunteer work in the villages nearby with my group of 7 volunteers. The stay was so good. We relaxed in the well maintained and clean Tent houses and served with authentic Indian food.
In the morning there are a lot of birds in the property and also we see a lot of Pink Flamingo birds just in front of the Resort.
The team working here is always so friendly and smiling.
Me and my all the friends are happy to stay here and will come again on our next assignment.

I would have never known how beautiful rajasthan can be if I hadn't been here... The view from the place is mesmerizing whichever direction you look. The tents were spacious and well equipped with basic amenities and also don't let you miss the fun and exhilaration of camping by being over comfy... The place and the hospitality makes you want to stay there forever .. It was like a second home for me far from hustle of job and household chores... The staff was courteous and food was nice too opposite to my general experience with hotel food... Would like to visit again soon

I as a solo traveller stayed at Resort Camp Sambhar for a night. The location is too approachable and just in front of white salt bed. View from the any place of the property is towards to endless salt lake. Owner and entire staff is too humble and took care like a family member. Specially Iliyaas a young boy was always available to help me and guide me with a pleasant smile.
Food was like home cooked and was authentic Rajasthani food.
Late night session of Stargazing with owner's family was awesome.
Over all it was a pleasure to stay at Camp Sambhar. Highly recommended !
